Broadway Playhouse Newark Concert reviews
Traveled from Houston, Tx
We made the trip from Houston with seven friends. The overall experience was awesome, I'm glad we did. The crew was extremely helpful when we needed it, and the booze was priced just right. However, a few things are stopping me from giving it 5 stars. We bought the weekender package which included 4 tickets to both days and a hotel room from Friday - Monday. It was super cheap, around 880.00. When we got to the hotel room, it made perfect sense. The hotel room was small and reeked of water damage. The shower head wouldn't stay pointed at me, had to keep readjusting it.
My other main concern was the sound on one of the stages. Saturdays show (on one stage only) had terrible feedback. There were times when there was super low vocals and it would switch to too loud of vocals. Then the bass would be too loud. Kept getting feedback from the speakers, as if they were training someone on the soundboard at the wrong time.
It seemed to me that the bands came on too close of a time together. You had to make a choice to miss the end of one show to make sure you saw the opening of another.
